Ok Charleybear, cooking lessons for you, - however not from me, I'm rubbish :rotfl:

But maybe you could get a stash of baked beans or my favorite...crackers, which tide me over for many a quick meal.:D

Another spend yesterday shockingly as our long life lightbulb gave up after several years... Too dark without it!

    Happy Friday

Oh and get well soon Kerri

    Thanks Sazzie x
(Knit one purl six drop four.....yes, that's it, Igor, a lovely bit of spider web bunting for the Halloween/Samhain decorations.....only another mile or so left to do......put the kettle on while you're doing it, there's a good chap!)

And here we go, heading for the Cauldron of Doom, a well-aimed kick and kersplosh! In goes NSD number 5!!!!!

Charleybear - get yourself into that kitchen and start learning to cook! What are you going to do if your parents get run over by a bus, open a tin???? I can recommend Jamie O's Ministry of Food book, ideal for the novice cook. Or Delia S - she did a How to Cook series of books years ago. I am sure others on here can also help with suggestions.

How about we sign Charleybear up for some lessons with Igor?

We'll an enforced NSD #5 here . Feeling positively dreadful, have spent about 24hrs in bed and only made it as far as the sofa and the bath in addition to that. Was supposed to be going to a gig tonight too that I'd booked tickets ages ago for. However didn't think that the crowd below would appreciate this cold type bug also seems to have the added angle of up chucking thrown in too just incase it wasn't making me feel grotty enough :( bleugh, is all xx

    Hi and welcome sazacount. :hello:

Of course you can join, but be warned it's addictive. :D There's some pointers on page 1 if you haven't read it yet. Just to give a helping hand. Just be aware though nobody on here 'fails', any number of NSD's is a success even if you don't reach your target. Even 1 NSD is one more day of money being in your pocket and no one else's. :D

Re your signature, if you go the quick links tab (on the green bar where you log out.) Click the arrow next to 'quick links' and there is a tab for editing signature.

    Good luck with the challenge.

Dagnabbit! Got conned by OH to buy Jamie O latest book - but he stumped up two thirds of the cost, and it was £9.99 in nearby Sainsbugs store so could have been worse. And looking through the recipes there should be ample opportunities for slashing the food bill so not such a disaster. And no way Pedro am I going anywhere tomorrow so that will be a definite NSD for the collection. So there!

Kerri - get well soon. Sure you don't want some of Igor's cold cure?
