Kerri - I used to make wine years ago with husband number 1. You need a moderately warm place to store the fermenting must because if the room is too cold it won't be active. Perhaps try one of those winekits with everything you need in a tin, first, to see how you get on. If it is successful, you can start to use real ingredients. I remember orange wine being very potent and strawberry wine turning out quite disgusting for some reason. I think plum, blackcurrant, elderberry, deep red fruits like those, should turn out well.
Thanks Nargle, i was looking on Amaz0n and there seem to be some reasonable starter kits on there for about the cost of one of those wine gift kit things so I might give it a go. We do have spare room upstairs but I'm a little afraid about it going wrong and a gallon of red semi-wine leaking all over the beige carpet  shame that bath panel is back on reallyFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Good Evening Folks,
I had a very busy day today, as I was off, but went to the gym at 6.30am:eek: and then went to do some xmas shopping:). I must admit that I was quite amused that the Halloween stuff was in the shops and I was buying pressies for xmas:). I also spoiled myself with a new game for the games console:o. I am therefore stuck on 1NSD so far, but hope to start collecting them very soon.If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Defo prefer Mr S - think their orange label range is good quality and value. I am lucky we have a medium sized one which restricts me from wanting to spend too much in there :rotfl:
I hit a couple of issues with the cat-sitting and not having my own cupboards to raid, so unfortunately I have missed out in NSD's Sat, Sun and Mon, but I'm home nowand today was Nsd 4 which makes target look a little unacheivable. However I will still have a good try

Wow, everyone's done so well with their NSDs!! So impressed, well done all of you. I'm on 3xNSDs so far. Today would have been one, but I had to pick up lightbulbs for my grandmother (I could have waited until a SD but she can't) and then a (humane) mousetrap
And then I was gonna be charged postage for the mousetrap, so I thought I'd pick up a £7 Christmas present at the same time to get the free postage. Although I am feeling quite smug about it all the same because I consider all of those purchases either essential or smart...
