Hi so I'm with virgin paying just over 40 pound a month for Phone which I don't use at all, TV which I use free view channels anyway, and broadband.
I use broadband to download a film every now and then and just general youtube cartoons stream for my son and web browsing.
so I was thinking:
getting decent HD freeview (what is the best option for that?
no phone just use skype or mobile if I have to,
and paying just for broadband..
I would definately pay line rental up front to get that discount so here is my question..
what is the best possible option at the moment? and is it worth it?
is it worth getting youview from some broadband provider or get one of ebay 2nd hand?
what aerial should I use to get best signal for freeview?

There is no 'best deal', because broadband is exchange-dependent. So start with an exchange search on www.samknows.com. Wihout cable, you are left with ADSL or FTTC, and you can't have either without paying line rental,
Any proper external aerial will give you Freeview-you don't need a 'digital one (there is no such thing).
All you otherwise need for Freeview HD is a TV or digibox/PVR with an HD tuner. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
