You are legally entitled to this under the Sale of Goods Act...
However, as you are dealing with sportsdirect they will differ in that opinion, and getting any reply from customer services is difficult IMO.
My experience of sportsdirect shoes are they are really not worth the money, "waterproof" isn't even "water resistant" and the products fall apart in less that 6 weeks. CS also sucks big time.
I managed to get a refund on the shoes instore, but not the p&p as they simply refuse to budge on that, so I'll take that as a lesson not to buy online from them in future.
Any company that refuses to refund p&p because they sent the wrong item is one to avoid for me.
I had my eye on a jacket at my local SD store but it did not have it in my size. Therefore I was contemplating ordering off their site but I am very reluctant buying clothes without having tried them on. If it arrives and does not fit I know I could return them under the distance selling regulations but it looks like it will cost me and introduce a risk that it may get lost in transit. So I decided against it. If they used their stores for deliveries and returns all this hassle would be wiped out at a stroke. Other retailers can manage it so why not Sportsdirect?
