    BE NICE TO OTHER MONEYSAVERS

Remember, MoneySaving should be fun. Everyone using these boards is here for the same reason, to save money. The site’s motto is “Please be nice to other MoneySavers”. It should go without saying, but please remember that when using this forum.

I'm not trying to stir up trouble or take sides. Personally, I thought kirstenatom's posts were in the right place. She needed help with some questions on the C4 movie quiz comp and asked for help. The thread is entitled Comps Tips - New Thread help Needed.

As Kipper says one of the site's moto (& rule) is Please be nice to other moneysavers. Its so easy to get the wrong end of the stick trying to work out what mood people are in when writing on a forum, I'm sure if you both had met in a pub or somewhere, you'd both have picked up on each other's body language, tone and other clues and they'd be no falling out.

    Answer the questions correctly :)
and how long does it take on average after the comp has ended to be notified

Can be as soon as the day of ending :j, can be as late as 28 days (or even later) after the comp has ended , can be as early as 2 weeks before the comp has ended

Help! Can't edit my signature anymore.icon9.gif

It's only got a little bit on it, and I only want to change the amount of my winnings, but it tells me that the BB code is too big.

    Any ideas?

Whats the best way of doing an 'all in one envelope' there''s about ten comps I can enter AOIE but ive never done it before. Shall I fill in postcards for each one as normal or is there a better way?

always thank the original poster if you enter a comp , reason 1 its polite and its hard work finding comps to put on board , reason 2 it helps you keep track of the comps you have entered :)

:T Well done on reaching your £2008 target!

My advice is even winning a competition can still mean quite a large expense - for example travel to place, or meals or other essentials.
so when saving money make sure you really know what is free and what is not!
Make £2 a day challenge - doing well so far.
  • Hi all I'm new, and have no idea where to say hello - so, er hello! I tried to post today from work but it was blocking me for some reason.

I've been comping for a few days and Friday night I had my first win - a total whopper and now I'm hooked. I'll need to find the original poster of the comp to say thanks, and post the win in the "I won" forum.

One question - if a comp doesn't have "one entry per person" in the t&c, do you enter loads? I have clicked the back button and submit over and over for comps I really want to win but I'm not sure a) if I am actually entering more than once and b) if I'm allowed. Or is it just the ones where the poster has said "up to 25 entries" etc. that you enter more than once?

I only enter once for each comp regardless of the t&c's unless its for a car or big family holiday and then I enter my oh aswell. Some of the comps are 1 entry per household/ip provider aswell so you have to watch out!

    NOW IN COMPING SEMI-RETIREMENT! :D
