Final update.
I didn't have to set the router up from scratch using data from my ISP.
I use a Star Hub set top box here in Singapore which provides TV and internet.
When I return to the UK I return the set top box and save some dosh.
So when I arrived in Singapore again last week I dropped in to the Star hub outlet and picked up a brand new set top box.
I eventually realised this was faulty because not only could I not use the internet but today my TV set wouldn't work.
So I returned the set top box and picked up another and bob's your uncle after a couple of minutes using the wizard I'm back on the internet and the TV is working.
I mentioned in my posts above that I couldn't understand that the laptop had worked wirelessly recently in UK, France Spain and even Wales so why wasn't it working again here when it had done 6 months previously.
That was a clue which no one queried.
I know you lot are gonna say I didn't provide all the info.
