Got back from holiday Saturday and unfortunately my outside freezer had actidentally been switched off by my daughter so most of my meat has had to be binned and I've only got my fridge/freezer which has very little meat in it but have managed to do a meal plan with what little meat I have in there:

Sun - Roast chicken thighs, roast potatoes, roast courgettes, onions, red pepper & garlic, green beans, gravy.
Mon - Chickpea and spinach curry, rice, naan bread
Tues - Pasta, meatballs with HM tomato sauce
Wed - Sausages, mash & veg, gravy
Thurs - HM onion soup, cheese crouton. Apple pie & custard
Fri - Fish & HM chips

Have decided to allow an extra £100 on my grocery budget to try and refill freezer. Planning on buying some veg and making various soups which will help with filling the freezer. Will also look out for some reduced meat and fish.

Yes it does, especially on top of nearly a month's holiday. House insurance probably would cover it but with the excess and the likely increase on renewal it doesn't seem worth it so have decided not to claim - especially as it's due to be renewed in about 6 weeks time!

  • Still a well packed freezer :T so my week's looking like this -

Monday - Lunch - Peppery steak pasties, Tea - Sweet and Sour Chicken noodles or boiled rice

Tuesday - Lunch - Chicken Paprika in mini naan bread, Tea - Hippy Pie for OH, Veggie Cannelloni for me

Wednesday - Lunch - Tomato Soup with cheese rolls (unless I can get away with cheese in a mini naan bread - approved foods :D), Tea - Sausages, mash for OH, actifry chips for me

Thursday - Lunch - Bacon and egg pie, Tea - Spaghetti bolognese

Friday - Lunch - Lorne in a mini naan bread, Tea - Chicken Curry, pilau rice

Saturday - Lunch - Falafel in wraps, Tea - Breaded basa fillets, chips and peas

Sunday - going away for a few days, so probably eating out - unless we have anything picnic-able to take with us for the journey. Get more of a break from the journey with a pub lunch, especially if the weather's cold.

Breakfasts are porridge, Krispies brioche rolls, rice cakes and ryvita

    Have a good week everyone
