I'm new to the forum, meal planning and batch cooking, but I'm determined to fill my freezer by the end of the year - you're all so inspiring and I love the old style board.
Monday - jacket potato, beans, cheese
Tuesday - spag bol (going to make the big batch bolognese on BBC Good Food and freeze a load)
Wednesday - going out - kids will have chicken nuggets and beans (my fall back easy dinner!)
Thursday - Beans on toast or cereal (we have a light dinner at least once a week)
Friday - Gammon steak and cauliflower cheese (will make big batch of cheese sauce and freeze)
Saturday - More Spag bol
Sunday - Roast chicken, mash and broccoli cheese
I went shopping today and have everything except the cauliflower, roast chicken and broccoli (I'll go out again on Friday to get them) and it came to £38.50! I'm flabbergasted - I've gone through previous months willy nilly spending and it was a lot more than that! I'll have to get some more milk, fruit and cereal during the week but I'll wait until what I've got has run out (and there's a market here on Thursday so I can pick up some last minute bargains).
Thanks for starting these threads - I know it will be easier to stick to it when I'm doing it in a group.Oct GC £38.50/£3000 -
