Morning all,
Blowy here with showers of rain which is typical when I have a washing mountain to do ! I am struggling slightly with working full time and have a house / family to look after, and although OH and DD do help a lot they dont do it the same as meI think its even more difficult atm because every weekend / day off we are decorating hopefully once the bedroom has finished I can get myself into a good routine.
Dinner tonight will be the chicken breasts stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon, we had a naught indian takeaway last night which was delish.
So this morning I will have a quick tidy round and prepare the dinner, while doing washing mountain then this afternoon will be finishing the small bits of painting and start to lay the new flooring, I cant wait to have a decent floor in the bedroom
Sistercas I bought my dd a ring for her 18th too, something to keep forever x
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning All,
Beautiful day here and a very busy day ahead for me.
TTFTM - great bargain with the printer, however the hidden costs relate to the replacement printer cartridges.
Ok at lunchtime I will be watching my beloved Spurs beat Chelsea and set me up for the rest of the day.
Then late afternoon my OH, DDs OH and myself will be setting up the function room for the big party tonight.
Tonight from 7.30 to 1.00 we will be hosting 120 to 130 guests and celebrating our birthdays and retirement. _party_ I just hope I have the energy and stamina to last!
You are all invited to join in with a virtual  at 9pm!
We have had some bad news. My OH's sister was supposed to travel over from Kent on Tuesday, but had severe back pain on Monday, which she hasn't recovered from. She was admitted to hospital yesterday and we are hoping the MRI scan they are going to give her will reveal what her problem is. Hopefully it is nothing worse than sciatica (sp)
Have a good day everyone :beer:0 -
Morning all
Dry here, and no washing so I am off blackberrying with DH when he gets back from taking a load of carp from the garden up to the tip.
DD is at work and DS is going to see the outlaws and help his Nan in the garden.
If we get a good amount of blackberries then I will make some bramble jam this afternoon and freeze the rest for pies and crumbles.
Nar I am a Spurs fan as well but DH's family all support Chelsea, here's hoping Spurs winBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning all
Rather overcast but warm out here today. Went to do the intro to bowling, but it is off due to a European competition and a practice session was on instead. We'll try again next week. So came back and had coffee with the friends we went with. Diet back on with a vengeance, to me NPM Paleo, isn't a million miles from Low Carb or Atkins. I find LC the only way I seem to loose. I can live without pasta, spud hand bread & cake no problem.
DS & neighbours out here will be cheering Spurs on too.
Go on then NAR. Which printer has cheap ink? I always search round and buy on line, saves loads over local sources.Have a good party.
Trying to think about what to have for lunch? Will go and get some fresh fish to BBQ for tonight, with the infamous salad
NMIC. You have done very well with your weight loss, are you still trying to loose, just just stabilise now?
Yes, Grandparents seem to lose the value of goods a a they get odder, we had the same problem.
((Hugs)), spoons, positive vibes all round. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club

First year I've not made one but he only wanted the Iron Man 3 cake Mr S soldoh well least this year I am not standing in a kitchen cursing at the fondant :rotfl:
Not much OS or MSE, going out for meal tonight and will be busy playing hostess this afternoon.
Have a great Saturday everyone x it's not sunny here boo hoo
Hugs and spoons all round x

Hello,
It was bright and sunny here earlier but it seems to be clouding over. Probably because I've changed the bed and hung the linen out!
Dropped DS2 at work this morning and did a bit of shopping. I do love the ethnic shop with their cheap fruit and veg.
A friend popped in for a cuppa and a chat when we got back. Now he has gone, DH has gone to do a little job for his Uncle and to top up the absorbent granules in the caravan. I've just bunged a sponge cake in the oven and will cover it with jam and coconut later.
Think we are having chinese tonight, DH's choice. I'm not keen on it but if it means I don't have to cook...
Enjoy the rest of your day.0 -
Afternoon all
Wet here today......makes me feel miserable. I was full of beans yesterday when the sun was shining and got loads of housework done.
We went to a local food market this morning and bought cheeky takeaway for tonight as our fave curry restaurant was selling curry in boxes at a very reasonable price. What a treat no cooking tonight for me.
Also bought some lovely bread which we will have for lunch with cheese and the leek and potato soup I have on the hob at the moment. OH has just nipped back for more curry as DS announced will be in for dinner tonight. He was in bed when we left. Sigh....
Had a nice Skype with DD in Japan earlier this morning. Such a wonderful invention but I miss her more when we talk.
NPM I have Delia's Christmas chutney to make but I have been putting it off. Maybe this afternoon...
NAR and Bitsey enjoy your parties.
Have a nice afternoon all, hugs and kind words to all who would like them.

Hi all
A rare Saturday post from me!:D
Nmlc I found varifocals amazingly easy to get used to – two days and I was wearing them full time, no problems at all.:o
Julie I used to do yoga on the WiiFit, but had to give up on it over a year ago because I can't do the stretches any more – could you please let me have links to the YouTube videos on supporting your knees? Pretty please?:o
NAR enjoy your party.
Mr LW has made egg'n'chips for our dins, which is great; the downside is he has one of his wretched taped tv programmes on to watch. Sometimes it's all I can do not to chuck the damn tv out of the window!:cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

How long has he been Paleo and how does he find it?
We are not vegetarians but I do like that type of food.
It's things like rice and pasta I struggle without. Cauliflower rice is ok but it's not rice?
Does your DH eat nightshades or does he forgo all that?
Xx
We have been eating like this for around 4 months this time around but have done it for longer in the past. I eat very little carbs and try to stick to under 30 grams per day so I eat protein at every meal and in the evening, I add small amounts of carbs as vegetables - mushrooms, courgettes, cabbage, cauliflower, salad etc. DH eats more like 70 to 80 grams of carbs per day so he adds beans, pulses, nuts etc to his diet. Neither of us eat bread, rice, pasta, grains, fruit, starchy vegetabes or anything with sugar in.
I get my protein from a mix of meat, fish, eggs and cheese, DH pretty much the same but he eats lots more fish and eggs than I do. We both eat high fat content food so cream, butter, cheese etc are all fine and we use loads of olive oil in salads and other nut/seed oils too.
This is the website DH uses:
http://www.marksdailyapple.com/definitive-guide-to-the-primal-eating-plan/#axzz2gBxbbFwa
It does take some getting use to and I still crave carbs occasionally but it's great for my weight loss, I rarely feel hungry and I always feel incredibly healthy after about a week of eating like this. I usually suffer really badly with hay fever and other allergies but no sign of it this summerLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin
