Apologies if this is genuine and has been lost in translation, but none of this adds up with my considerable experience with Halifax.
Oh and I was just waiting for you to say you were exchanging and completing on the same day.I am a Mortgage Broker

I can understand this may see far fetched, but I promise you, this is the unfortunate circumstance I have found myself in. The reason for the exchange is after they issued the faxed confirmation, they called my solicitor and advise not to exchange if not already done so, as they are auditing the case. So I was hoping to exchange and complete the same day after the extra time this audit / withdrawal / and appeal took. I am visiting rbs on Monday to secure another mortgage. I understand I'm new here, and infact had this situation not arose, I most probably wouldn't of visited this forum. I have no intention in not fully explaining, or telling porkies, as I'm searching for an honest answer; and help to my situation. And if I stand no grounds to improve this situation with Halifax, to aware other potential customers of Halifax my experience with them.0

What type of mortgage are you applying for? As you mentioned you already have a mortgage...An opinion is just that..... An opinion0

To buy a new home, and I've already have let the other house out. I have a sizeable "equity" on other property, and small monthly mortgage payments, which are covered entirely but the rental income, and have sufficient employment income for the affordability of both mortgages. They offered my £300k, I only wanted to borrow up to £124k0

Legally, the lender has the right to withdraw a mortgage offer at any time, right up to completion.
