PLEASE HELP! phone scam, but not sure who.

I've just had a very similar experience with them. I've received nothing through the mail even though they've taken my money and they're now telling me they won't give me my money back. I've now been in contact with trading standards this can't be right. Did you ever get your money back?

I joined dining and leisure club. I paid the postage of approximately £3. I was offered a TEN POUND PETROL deal. I have contacted them by email, telephone -no 10 pound return .it is a misrepresentation. I need to check that they have not taken any money from my account. do not touch these individuals.

I also got scammed over the phone. I'm usually so careful and was cross with myself after I googled Dining and Leisure! They caught me when I was distracted and not really paying attention :mad:

In stead of taking card details they set up a direct debit (which I actually said at the time I didn't want them to do), and I have been frequently checking to see if a new one appeared on my account. Thankfully I cancelled it before they had a chance to take any money!

The name was "RSM 2000 - Lead The Horse" After some more googling I discovered very little about the company "Lead the Horse" except that they were based in Cardiff.... So watch out for the new name!

Does anyone know if they can set up the direct debit again after you have cancelled it???
