The conditions on the £7.50 charge mean you could potentially end up paying a lot more than the £10 you saved.

Indeed you could but chances are you're going to be paying a LOT less

If you sell on Tuesday online via Equiniti it will cost you £7.50....

Do you guys have a source for these claims? ...the prospectus seems to say different, but maybe I'm reading it wrong?

Wow that was close....looks like it went thru - HL account has gone up £266.95, but cant see details of the actual strike price or if that is before / after their sell fee. i think their systems are playing catch up?

    PS
And now need to determine how to get money back out of HL into bank account! is it obvious? (sorry for the dumbas questions - first time share dealing)

with great difficulty although I think things are now easing up. Presuming you have your holding with them and are registered for online trading just log on and sell. Otherwise phone them - not sure whether people are getting through though.

You have to have an account with them.

If you do then log in to your account and click the Green Icon next to your Royal Mail listings.

Then fill out the quantity of shares enter your "trading password" then submit then confirm deal.

    And un thanks to you:rotfl:

    You're welcome. :)

The site gives us all the opportunity to thank people who make thoughtful and helpful forum posts. I just think it's a shame we can't un-thank those posts we consider to be un-thoughtful and un-helpful.

I sold out this morning at £4.51 with my online broker Barclays. However I think it is very unfair that some people could sell now and others like yourself have to wait until Tuesday. Hardly a level playing field.

Are you the same MABLE who has been harping on about how greedy everyone else is for half of the thread? Quite ironic, no? :p

You should have got a confirmation page telling you the price you sold at.
But if your account has gone up then it went through okay.

i set up a limit order on hl this morning at 7.30 to sell at 429p. the market opened at 430p so i assume my shares should have sold.

obvs i couldn't get on hl all day but now i can and my shares are still showing. the order is still in the pending orders tab but i can't cancel it.

will my shares have been sold and i am just waiting for the system to catch up or will they not have sold as my limit order was for less than the opening price this morning?

ps. i have only sold enough shares to get my original £750 back out and will leave the rest in to see what happens. just an idea for anyone who wants to do the same - free shares in royal mail!
