Pointless credit application - what affect?

Have they done a full credit check?
They may have just done a soft search of your details in the same way the insurance comparison sites do.
Your best bet is to contact NatWest and explain what has happened so they don't flag fraud and can submit a notice of correction if necessary.0 -

Im going to call them now, how would i know if they did a full check?0 -
Correct name, d/o/b, phone number, the house i own (but is rented out). False occupation (accountant as was top of list), false employer name and address.
Cant believe this is happening!
Oh dear....the CIFAS section is at the bottom, they won't necessarily record it instantly. Once they have realised false information was provided.
The mortgage will definitely flag it up though as it will be different details, so national hunter will put paid to that.
I'd speak to natwest....0 -

Im confused now as ive just spoke to natwest and explained the situation, was told it was marked as fraud but not as NH or CIFAS (whatever that is) and it wont have any impact on credit. He said he would get the search removed completly but it would take 2-3 days.
Thoughts?0 -
Natwest will also see that very shortly after this happening my father in law did submit his application following my demonstration.0
