Post Office Unwilling To Compensate
Comments

My point is that I was incorrectly advised so I wish to recieve compensation based on this0

How do you prove it?0

I'm not sure that you're going to win this one unfortunately. It's a "your word against theirs" situation, and although the fact that you did pay the extra may count in your favour it's still going to come down to whether you told them it was a mobile or not. If it was any other business you could start a small claim and let the court decide the balance of probabilities, but I'm really not sure whether it's possible to take a Post Office to court, or if you did who would be sued.0

you'll have to try your luck in court and hope they don't show up IMO.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0

But if they do - you'll pay their capped costs (BTDT). You need corroboration of your claim - a witness who can attest you were advised to use that particular Royal Mail service (the PO is only the agency offering the service). Many will not ship to Italy because of these issues - other EU countries are less problematic.
If you accepted their offer, it will be game over as this concludes any further possibility of recovery.0
