Morning all
Hugs to all those in need, Molly I hope things are well with you, LW how long have you got your lodgers for? I've been asked to look after a friends dog but need to get to know them better first as one tends to nip, I need to cure her of that, I'm not having punctured ankles even for money, lol.
I'm dropping some cakes off at school this morning for our Macmillan sale also a box of tomatoes as we have hundreds and they are still ripening. I shall stay for break to catch up with a few people, I'm back part time next week so I'm allowed.
I don't know what else I'll do, not much I expect, depends on how I'll feel.
I have a supermarket delivery due later, so I'll save my energy for that.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning All,
Well this is my second last day at work, as I retire on Monday after 40 and a half years in the Civil Service. :j :j :j I have worked in IT for the last 28 of those years and have seen many, many changes.
Today I will be doing some shredding and decluttering my desk and pedestal drawers of 5 years worth of stuff I have accumulated since I moved into my present post.
There is a "suprise" party and presentation for me on Monday lunchtime, so I will have to prepare something suitable to say.
Have a good day everyone :beer:0 -
Morning all,
NAR you've been waiting for this moment for a long time. I hope your retirement party goes well and hope to see pictures.
Weather is beautiful here. Such a shame to be stuck indoors... That's not strictly true ive got a doctors appointment at 5.
Ive got my Grandbaby tonight overnight. I need to sort something out more permanent with hubby. If i'm going to have him on a regular basis we need to get him a proper cot or something. A travel cot will be fine but I need to get him to part with a bit of cash.
Julie67 ive got a box of hair dye here that I bought the weekend. I keep looking at it but so far haven't done anything with it yet.
Not much else to add really. Hugs to all who are feeling under the weather and I hope your feeling better soon.
Have a great day all,This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I have been lurking for a while again but need to get back to posting with all you lovely people.
Bitsey, Tappers. Hardup Hester, Marie and Lamewolf
Bedding on line, another in the machine and have just washed the kitchen floor. Hitting the bathroom next.....
Having a quiet time today as OH has gone to lunch with the rest of his department who are leaving due to redundancy today.(OH volunteered for early redundancy and went at the end of June).
HH take it steady now if you are going back to work....
Bitsey glad you are settling in your new home. Not too far from me
LW glad you had a good holiday. Know what you mean by coming home for a rest. We are still enjoying your nut roast recipe.
NAR enjoy your retirement.
Well the kitchen floor is dry enough to walk on and make a cuppa so I'll love you and leave you.
Good wishes for all going to uni(and their families) and poorlies and those who would like a kind thought.
Have a good Friday

Hi all. Another good drying day, so I've washed 3 pairs of jeans, a t-shirt, 2 dresses and a load of undies.
Hester I can't take Pirit0n either – nasty, nasty side-effects._pale_ I keep a bottle of calamine in the cupboard – I find is eases the irritation of the lupus butterfly rash, too. Not very elegant but if it stops me tearing my face off, who cares?:D
Hey, when you do go back to work, you make sure you keep with the new system – no taking someone's work to them “just this once” cos that'll set a precedent and you'll be back to square one.(((HUG)))
Btw, the Hooligans are here for a 9-day stay; they've had roughly half of it now, going home lunchtime next Wednesday.:o
Bitsy yay! Glad the car passed. Now make a note in your diary when next year's MoT is due. (I have all that sort of stuff in my PDA – the last entry I have is for 2023!!):D
Moorhen lol @ the cockerpoo nearly learning not to jump up.:D
NAR I was in the Civil Service for 20 years, before I had to take retirement on medical grounds; part of it with the Valuation Office, the rest with the MoD It's amazing how much carp accumulates in those pedestal drawers, isn't it?
OK, I need to go and face the WiiFit; want to get my “time” in before lunch if possible, as I have quite a bit of work on the pc to do today – Mr LW's holiday pics to scan (he still uses a film camera), the weekly accounts backup, plus it's the weekend for our monthly “big” backup, so if I can get my pc done today, that'll leave the flash drive free for Mr LW to do his.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Hi all
Glad I popped in to work, I took in cake, lemon curd cake and choc brownies, I came home with a big bag of apples, so that's tomorrow taken care off, I'll drop hubby at work and then set to making crumbles.
I came home via the butchers and got 1kl bacon scraps and some ox cheek, and charity shops where I found a size 14 dress, M&S £4.50, it fits a treat. I shall get the sewing machine out one day and take in the dresses I have that are too big.
I've stripped and remade the bed so now it's time for more reading with my feet up!

Afternoon All
Just popping on before heading for the pool.
Just wondering if you have tried Fexofenadine, non-drowsy only one RAF Pilots allowed, according to my Dr.
Today I have trimmed Skye as it is so hot, de-furred her Spaniel feet, so she does not slip on the tiled surfaced, and then DH bathed her. She is now a nice neat, clean, fluffy dog.
Tonight we are off to a quiz. They give a free Curry as part of the fee, but as neither of us like it (and DH's tummy certain could not cope with it), we will eat first. Tuna Salad I think, boring but safe, and we will not feel carp afterwards.
HH Enjoy the apples, you certain did well today.
Molly don't forget to say hello
LW Enjoy those hairy hooligans while you can
Bitsy Nice photo of you two on FB
Lou Isn't there a soft play area nearby which baby would enjoy, he seems to be a rufty tufty sort of toddler.
Everyone else I've forgotten, have a great day.
((hugs)), Spoons, and Positive Vibes all round. Take care everyone. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Afternoon all
I have been busy today, all the washing has dried on the line, the weather has been glorious.
My runner beans are still giving me lots of lovely pods and it has flowered again, so more to come :j
The pumpkin seems to grow overnight :rotfl:it looks like the skin is hardening up now and it is changing colour.
I have just put some more lettuce in as well.
I have pruned all of the bushes, so even though the green wheelie was emptied yesterday it is nearly full again.
DH needs to take some stuff to the tip tomorrow so that will be the garden more or less sorted for the winter, just the little shed to sort out now, but DH will have to do that, I dare not drop anything on my toes
Lasagne for dinner tonight and we are looking forward to sitting and watching Agents of Shield tonight, it is a spin off from the Avengers films. 8pm Channel 4 if anyone wants to watchit makes a change that Sky hasn't got it :j
Right best check that the mince is cooked enough to layer up the lasagne.

Late one from me as have had a busy day. Dropped kids off, went and picked car up, H had day off so we decided to go to Lacock for a wander round the village and a spot of lunch. Totally UN-MSE but I don't care, we were child free and out on a sunny day:D
