Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Thursday 27th September. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and
motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Morning BB and all to follow,
Seems much cooler here today and a bit darker than normal, hope we dont get rain.
Off to work for me today, DD id off to uni but not until later on, so will ask her to have a tidy round for me.
Dinner tonight will either be chicken breasts stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon with risotto, or a take away curry, depending on how shattered I feel when I get home
Will do a wash tonight and get it on the airer, I have a lady coming tonight to collect some bags of clothes, we were going to car boot them but just have not got round to it. I sold them on FB for £5 a bag the lady does car boots and will make some money on them and it saves us the bother so happy all round.
Butterfly Happy Anniversary for yesterday xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning everyone,
BB Glad that the car passed.
Molly, Hilstep, HH Get well vibes coming your way.
LW Saw my friends cockerpoo puppy last night for the first time in ages, she is much, much bigger (her dad was a standard poodle) and has now nearly learned not to jump up.
Open evening was very successful last night. It was absolutely packed all night, I talked to loads of very enthusistic parents.
we have an INSET day today, so that will be 5 hours of meetings then!
Off out for a drink with a friend tonight, hope that I can stay awake long enough.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Morning all!
I've been so busy the past couple of weeks I've not had time to post and have just been dipping in and out of the forum. My farmer friends have given me a share of their vegetable harvest so I've been washing and cooking and freezing and having a grand old time.
Today's plan:
[STRIKE]1. Take Sam to vet (1120am).
2. Tend outdoor seedlings.
3. Swish 'n' swipe house.
4. Make chicken stock.
5. Debug and shred cabbage.[/STRIKE]
6. Take cardboard for recycling.
7. Buy compost (Lidl).
8. Buy planter for next sowings (Rouken Glen).
9. Library
10. Prep planter for sowing tomorrow.
11. Pick leaves for M&D's salad tonight
(Edited to cross out what I've done.)Household: Laura + William-cat

Morning everyone
Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
Sunny, bright and dry here this morning. Really warm here too. Washing in machine as we speak will put on line asap.
DH up and gone to work early but not stupid early. He finished up with a bit of a nightmare day yesterday, with a late finish and then an early start this morning - fortunately it doesn't happen very often!
Dinner last night was a bit disjointed boys and myself had cheese omlettes they had chips with theirs I had salad with mine. DH had an egg and bacon butty when he came in. Did manage to get the apples prepped so apple crumble made - nobody's had any yet, it will be dessert for tonight's dinner. Which will be bacon and cheese kievs for the menfolk and I'll have fish, jacket/salad.
Was reasonably productive yesterday, did get washing, drying and ironing done, there's still some more so will do that today. Got the housework done too although again I had one of those day's where I just couldn't really settle to do anything and really had a CBA feeling but have to just set little goals to do so I don't get overwhelmed. Went to buy some more filters for my hoover and nowhere locally sells them anymore! - so I'm going to try ordering them direct from manufacturer. Also whilst out saw a clothes recycling bank that I hadn't noticed before so went to have a look - they pay by weight and the guys were really helpful. Came home and now have 2 black bags full of clothes to take with me today - will see how much I get and how it all works - even if it's not much I'm not bothered as it's close to where I live and I have to drive past each day to go/come home from work so won't need a special trip, also getting a bid fed up with taking stuff to CS and then finding they want to charge nearly as much second hand as it would cost new!
Today's plans are to go into town, bank, collect new glasses, take black bags of clothes to recycling bank, change beds, and wash bed linen. Do some baking/cooking. General tidying, sort through any clothes cupboards/drawers for clothes to be got rid of etc. Wash kitchen floor. Have an on-line shop being delivered later on this afternoon, hope I don't have too many replacements as tonight's dinner should be coming in that order - if it doesn't arrive - dinner will have to be a quick re-think!
Have a great Friday everyone x
Keep safe and well x

Morning all
Hope your all well, Hugs to all those that are feeling sad/poorly x
I'm planning a day at home. I've got some general cleaning and tidying to do.
I also want to colour my hair and cut my fringe. I treated myself to some Velcro rollers yesterday, 99p so I shall see if they work on my longish bob. I'm dying my hair darker blonde which matches my roots. It works well and saves me a fortune at the hairdressers.
Gradually it lightens up again and once I can see my roots usually about 8 weeks I do it again. I'm hoping to grow it to shoulder length.
Diet wise I'm going to really have a good go. After my knee news yesterday I'm hoping to get some weight off as I'm sure it will help my recovery.
I find Friday nights the hardest as we usually snuggle up and have a glass of wine and that means nibbles for me but I shall have some fruit instead.
Dh and ds3 have gone off to college, work. It's a lovely day here so I shall peg out some washing.
Have a great Friday xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning All
Dull and drizzly here, so glad I got that mountain of washing dried outside yesterday. I have ironed it all this morning so that's out of the way.
Long weekend off work, DS2 has an appt at passport office in Glasgow this morning so will go and meet him for lunch and get a few bits I need, probably go to C0stco too as we are low on milk. I will have a look at the toilet rolls too but quite often the supermarket deals are better value.
Hope you all have a good Friday. Take care. XX0 -
Good morning everyone
Another day off work makes Friday even better than usual!
Managed to get a few things done yesterday and DH sorted some jobs on the car which needed a new pollen filter and fan module - added up to £20 cheaper on ebay than from Nissan dealer. He also cleaned a part which costs over £200 new, so fingers crossed the cleaning will do the trick as the car is just not worth the amount of money we spend on it to keep it going.
Managed to buy some Christmas bits and pieces for our treat cupboard so will do that each week now. Last year all we had to buy Christmas week was meat and fresh vegetables. After last year's alternative Christmas lunch and DD's protests, this year she seems keen to do something different again! I need to think of some ideas and see who she intends to invite this time around.
Lamb kebabs with courgettes and Greek salad for dinner. Off for a cooked brekkie now, then out for some fresh air.
Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for anyone who needs or just wants them. Keep well and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning all,
Drier here today, hope it stays so I can get the washing done and dry outside.
Coffee with a friend morphed into lunch as she was delayed, so nice to catch up and giggle - we missed those we had worked with though. I was lucky to work in a happy & supportive team, some in the school were not so fortunate.
I put an icepack on my leg before the jab today - much easier as I find pushing the pen into the flesh painful, even before anything else. (details removed in case anybody gets squeamish).
Today? well, dinner is ready in the freezer, the house is tidy as I rushed round like a mad thing yesterday before friend came, so I might just nip into town to sort some money for our little holiday next week: I have a couple of bits of gold jewellery that are unwearable to sell -a broken locket, the ring I had to have cut off & some odd earrings.
Have a great day all xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
