How about not just doing it to rip off Lovefilm then?

Serves you right that you got charged with that take take take attitude! The 14 days you had were free - you weren't charged anything so what are you moaning about?!!

Oh yes,the offer that was promoted by Martin on this site some months ago.Dont remember anyone accusing him of ripping people off.........
There are a number of people posting on here who are just being nasty for the sake of it.I hope it doesnt become like some other sites.

But I don't get your point? Martin definitely promotes them - I'm not against that per se, but if you're not prepared enough to jump ship before you have to actually pay for something then it's your own fault! Not sure what OP's complaining about! He/she is still going to get another month's rentals that they've paid for, they've not lost anything!

In my case I joined up to a month's free trial and even got some quidco cashback for it - but I did it because I fancied joining a DVD rental company. They were good, so I stayed - used the promotion exactly as it was intended.

If someone wishes to put a post on the forum, as it is an open forum i am entitled to voice my opinion.

So in repsonse to your sentence that i have included:

Not if I dont think they are right.

No,try expressing your difference of opinion on this public open forum in an un-nasty way,its not relevant whether you think they are wrong.
  • I don't think anybody should be defending LoveFilm. Ask around and many people have been stung on their so-called FREE TRIAL, even after sending back dvds in plenty of time. They are a con and they rip you off.

It was intended for users to leave it if they wished-as Martin advocated/or made clear could be done. They are not averse to changing their terms and conditions,or making them deliberately hard to follow,(even if the OP got caught out by them and in the title she states she is disappointed with the t&Cs ,not the company) there is no reason to be nasty.

I cancelled my trial because I decided to trial another company someone said was better. Was that taking them for a ride? I dont think so. It makes sense to make use of a number of trials and then you pick the one you like best.

    Its not rocket science!

I settled with Amazon in the end. But later cancelled when I bought a hard disk recorder - I now have more movies saved down than I have time to watch!!
