You don't have a child if you use those bays!
Go check out the US-origin psych construct of "Mom Time" that is the origin of all these marketing gimmicks - By using them you give responsibility for any child over to the store in order for them to validate your empty little life.
Not really anyone's idea of a very fit parent, eh?

You need to stop believing in the marketing faeries and give your "children" a chance at a better life by dropping them off at Social Services.0 -

It just proves you have never tried to get a baby out of a car seat while standing in a 1 foot gap ERRRRM AS OTHERS HAVE SAID, I HAVE FOUR CHILDREN MYSELF (AND AS WELL AS BEING A BUSY MUM, I ALSO HAVE WORKING EXPERIENCE OF DISABILITY LAW, TRANSPORTING DISABLED PEOPLE AND HAVE DISABLED RELATIVES).
Eta- Although it appear from your signature you would park anywhere. WRONG. YOU HAVEN'T A CLUE ABOUT THIS FORUM HAVE YOU?
Parent & child bays are merely a marketing gimmick and not on a par with disabled bays in any way. In fact it's people like you who seem to think that parents have some sort of 'right' to a wider bay, who could very easily get a fake PCN from a private firm one day if you think the 2 bays are interchangeable if the others are full.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

At no point I have I said that the 2 bays are interchangeable. And at no point have i said that i think I have a right to a wider bay. Do you always try to words in others peoples mouths to make your point ?0 -

You sound very bitter. Have you had a parking ticket by any chance ?
You need to get over it and move on with your life. Dwelling is not good for your health.0 -

Can't say I am too impressed with the headline including the word "illegal" so we shall have to see!Coupon-mad wrote: »Parent & child bays are merely a marketing gimmick and not on a par with disabled bays in any way.
The first time I remember seeing Parent and Child bays was when Tesco introduced a "parent club" or similar and you had to be a member to use the spaces. I am pleased that you have brought this up as I have always felt they are a marketing issue rather than a desire to help parents. The proof being that at my local Sainsburys the "Parent" spaces are more conveniently located than the disabled bays.0
