It goes on to say that "Euro Car Parks may instruct us to take legal action and to prevent such action we invite you to contact Roxburghe on 01932 332048 to confirm your proposals in respect of this debt."
The rest of the letter describes the costs involved in going to small claims court and says in the "event of a Decree being obtained and registered by the Registers of Scotland it could seriously affect your chances of obtaining credit in the future."
Still ignore??
Its all a load of crap......The letter should actually read "Our client Roxburghe of same address MAY instruct us to take legal action"....and it is a very big "MAY"..........
Furthermore they are a debt collector and they have no business inviting you to appeal.....0 -
Hi,
Sorry to hijack your thread but i need a spot of advice.
My elderly mum parked in a Tesco carparkin Manchester, in a disabled bay. This was in March. She forgot to display her blue badge. She is now in receipt of a bill from 'gbp' solicitors acting for Roxburghe requesting payment of £150.00.
Stating a list of costs if proceeded to court.
She is panicking and wondering how to pay. Having read throught he forums I am not sure if she should proceed . She has not as yet responded to the letter..
Advice needed please...Thank you so much0 -
PLease start your own thread and someone will be along to help you - hijacking someone else's thread just causes confusion. Thanks.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

Do start your own thread so that your advice does not get confused with that meant for the original poster.0 -

Since when did Manchester relocate to Scotland?
You need your own thread here or you will get the wrong advice and confuse others!0 -

Hiya
No court in the land will entertain this so you can ignore them and advise them that any further contact will be deemed as harassment contrary to the Protection From Harassment Act.
If you look on the Citizens Advice Bureau's website, it confirms that "The blue badge scheme does not apply to private land."
The same applies when vehicles are parked over the white lines on private land........Frank Lampards ball was miles over the line in the last world cup, but it didn't make a blind bit of difference :rotfl::rotfl:
Also research roxburghe and you will gain an insight how this out fit works....0 -

Email or write and say how angry you are, as a family, that you are having to put up with threatogram debt collector letters just for 'the driver and passenger' daring to actually shop at their retail park. Demand that the thing is cancelled.
Has anyone written to the Retail Park? If so do you have a contact and what was their reply?0 -
No-one has said they did - it's general advice here to complain about any PPC to ALL retail parks - and you can find a contact by Googling the name of the place.
Also Google 'Dundee Courier private parking' for some articles recently about the position in Scotland.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi everyone,
Having just returned from 2 weeks away , I have received numerous ' Parking Charge Notices' through the door from Euro Car Park ( Palace retail Park Hamilton) We were unaware that there was a time limit in place let alone cameras that take your registration when enetring and exiting the car park.
We had heard that the rules are different in Scotland and Northern Ireland to that in Englamd and Wales in that the registered keeper is not obliged to disclose the driver at the time in question.
As such I filled in a Euro Car Parks online appeal form stating this and asked that they do not contact me again regarding the matter.
I have found previous posts on this thread very helpful. However I notice that some posts are from some time ago , could anyone advise if the advice given is still relevant and up to date ?
Any advice would be much appreciated as the letter is quite intimidating.
