    As far as I am aware ALL cheques are crossed nowadays.
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
    and we will never, ever return.

    Just checked all the cheque books I have (HSBC Private, HSBC Corporate, Barclays Corporate, fleet manager checked Barclays Wealth), and they're crossed.

    You don't get any higher than these, in either of the banks.
