Overcast here today, but it's supposed to brighten up later.
Fish fed, hubby fed and dropped at work, I have itchy lumps on my face, probably stress hives thinking about returning to work, and itchy bites on my legs that are gnat bites.
I have to go back to the Dr's in a couple of weeks to see about the weakness in my legs. I'm hoping that my return to work will cure my self obsession and some of the minor aches and pains otherwise I will become a hypochondriac!
BB I spent a while wondering if you were a Top Gear fan and then realised you probably meant Kyle, not Clarkson and I love the poster.
Moorhen, my youngest is 26 so don't panic.
Molly, I hope you are taking it easy, how is DD doing?
Hugs to the usual suspects and anyone else in need.
Plans for today include a trip to the butchers, vacuuming upstairs, reading and crochet.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

It is our 26th wedding anniversary today, but we haven't bought each other anything apart from a card because we are saving to have a multifuel stove fitted, not very romantic but it is very OS :rotfl::rotfl:
Mind you we are having Chinese take a way tonight courtesy of DD and DS, that is their gift to us :D

DH has a dentist appointment at 10am so he is kicking himself that he forgot that it was our anniversary when he booked it animated-smileys-rolleyes-08.gif

    Morning All,

BB - happy anniversary, enjoy your meal later.
Dumpling - please share the biscuits. :coffee:

FIL brought us a bag of vegetables from his allotment on Tuesday. OH turned some of them into a lovely thick soup, which we had with wheaten bread last night. That's the sort of BBC (repeat) dinners I don't mind having.

Have a good day everyone

    Hi all.

Another nice day here, so the doglets have had a lovely game in the garden. :o

NAR thanks for the heads-up on support for XP ceasing next April; the pc we have XP on is 11 years old, and is used as a back-up, also it's the one my printer is connected to (cba mucking about changing while it still works) and also the only one the ancient scanner works on, as there are no drivers available for that on Windows 7. So when that pc finally turns up its toes, we shall need to get a new scanner.:( I always scan any forms I send to DWP or any other Gov't depts, as they have such a remarkable record for losing my paperwork; and I scan Mr LW's holiday pics as he still uses a film camera.:o
Moorhen I hope your DD had a good birthday.:bdaycake:
Happy Anniversary Mr & Mrs Butterfly Brain.

I have a small quandary – we tape any programmes Mr LW wants to see, in order to fast-forward through the adverts, and generally only watch them at the weekend. I can only stomach one programme at a sitting, as I dislike TV with a passion, and lately Mr LW has found a couple of new series he wants to tape – one of which the programmes are 90 mins long. We don't really have time for TV week nights – he doesn't get in from work til nearly 19:00, and does an hour's WiiFit every night, also he wants to do pc gaming most nights (infinitely preferable to watching TV, imho);), so we're going to end up with a flippin' big backlog if we're not careful.

Mushroom risotto for dins tonight, as Mr LW's pal is coming over after dins, to see the dogs, so it needs to be something quick and easy.:o

Fwiw, Mr LW is another one who often doesn't see things right under his nose. He'll be looking for something that's right there, and I tell him “any closer, and it'd have got up and bit you!”:D

Off to do battle with the WiiFit now – I need to lose the weight I put on during our holiday; the portions at the hotel were very generous, and I'm sure I was eating literally three times as much as I do at home!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • Morning (just)

Been walking DDs class to semi local (a mile away) garden centre for school trip and back. Completely forgot about car MOT which is shockingly out of date and without it I can't tax the car at the end of this month. So am dropping car off shortly and then walking the s few miles back with Luna in two and that can be her main walk for today. I had better sleep well tonight after all this walking.

Minimal OS and housework as a result. Please cross yours fingers that the car passes and there isn't anything major wrong with it

No idea about tea, haven't thought that far ahead :o

Hugs and spoons all round xx

happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Butterfly Brain
