Does that mean you've sorted it out, or at what stage are you now?0

Doh! Sorry, misspelling. I meant uninstall not install.
Drivermax said I had 23 outdated drivers, including the mouse.
I tried to upgrade the mouse, but despite saying there was an available update, it then said there wasn't.
I 'updated' another USB driver that it said was available but then kept getting BSOD, so did a system restore and uninstalled Drivermax and now the PC is working fine, BUT the 'jumping' still happens.
So, nope, it ain't fixed, it's still the same.
I will try in safe mode shortly ......0 -
So ....
In safe mode ...
The problem is still there ....
Does this mean that it's probably a dodgy wheel and that I need to take it back to the shop?

Can you give you specs. Any program shouldn't give you BSOD. It rather sounds like you've got some issues which need to be sorted out. It's either that you've been infected or there's a hardware problem.
Have you run a Malwarebytes scan and an av scan?0 -
Sounds like a dodgy mouse or driver.
Try it on another computer if you can.
I'd return it for another if that's possible, but wouldn't expect too much from a replacement one - you'll just have to change teams!

If I gave you my specs I wouldn't be able to see :rotfl: (sorry)
BSOD is no more since I uninstalled drivermax and 'system restored' to before it updated my USB driver0 -

Hmmm, why didn't I think of that
it does the same on t'other PC
Even after suffering yesterday's canary bashing, my allegiance is unchangedI'd return it for another if that's possible, but wouldn't expect too much from a replacement one - you'll just have to change teams!
