Hi all, another 1 today! Had chunky veg soup. Was horrible..but ate it anyway as it was hot and filling.
  • Hi everyone,

I did really well this week and spent £1.60 on coffee but nothing else on food or drink which is great. :T. I had quorn sandwiches for three days, cheese and celery for one and spaghetti on toast today as I worked from home. I made a banana cake on Sunday and so I took peices of that, fruit and cereal bars as snacks.:j

Feel very jealous of Mrs Motivated... how do you persuade work to have chocolate cake in a buffet??? Can you get your boss to ring mine :).

What have you been reader on Twitter Kittie j is it the penis beaker story?! This had me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: wrong so very wrong. I found it on another broad on mse

  • Hello! I think life kinda ambushed me for the last couple of weeks, sorry for not updating - but I did stick to taking my lunch in at least some of the time, so I'm up to 6 lunches taken into work this month.

It's not as high as I thought it would be, as I found out early in the month that I need to drastically cut my sugar consumption for health reasons (shouldn't really have been a surprise but there you go) and M&S fuller longer salads were the easiest way to do that last week. But I've been doing some internet research, and now I've got my head around it I think I should be able to come up with some new and interesting lunches I can take in.

Here's my first share - not a lunch to work yet, but will be tomorrow especially after testing it out last night .... Homemade Inn0cent veg pot!
    Here's the link http://www.bigcitydreamer.com/2013/04/homemade-innocent-veg-pots.html
And it really is tasty !! Keeps for 3 days in the fridge so it says (I'll report back on that) and microwaves in 4 minutes. I increased the portion sizes to 2 sweet potatoes, 2 onions, and whole tins of beans etc, and ended up making enough for 2 meals for me & him last night, 2 pots for the fridge, and 3 pots for the freezer for future lunches - and I still have lots of veggies left over for more cooking today.

Back on track .... money saving AND healthy ... I can do this! :)

  • So far so good, day 7 for me, was feeling adventurous and I've even tried a different flavour of a certain popular cream cheese, talk about living dangerously :D

Can I count today's lunch? I brought in a microwavable risotto, picked up last night 3 for £6. £2 seems a lot!
