or is this something you've seen on CSI?
Got nothing better to do than make snide coments, how sad.
OP, for the time of a phone call it is worth asking as it might prove that it wasn't you who made the withdrawal.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Wrong. Serious question about cameras which you've chosen not to answer. I've looked for cameras on ATMs but I've never seen one. Are they common?
You should watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyqwwu9K_FY They definitely do! :rotfl:
Truthfully I don't UK ATMs have a camera and I tried to find some information on it but couldn't see anything about it. I've seen a camera on a US ATM. A lot of UK cameras have CCTV covering them though.0 -
There's still the problem that cloned cards go onto an international market. It's unusual for a cloned card to be used anywhere close to the account holder's address."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0

UK banks (or majority at least) have CCTV at atms, they don't record you withdrawing the money (they can't see your pin) but they are able to access the images in the case of crime.

This makes no sense. If someone had access to your account via an ATM, they wouldn't pop along every Tuesday or so to take £100. They'd clean it out as fast as they could. 5 withdrawals increases the risk of getting caught by 500%.
Was it always at the same ATM? I don't understand why at the very least you haven't changed the PIN. Does your own PIN still function, or has it been changed? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
This does make some sense if it was, say, some family member.0

This kind of fraud is normally a family member or someone living with the person whose account is being accessed.
I have a friend who had her ex stealing money from her for years until she found out. by accident.0 -
I agree, it sounds like someone is swiping the card from op's purse in the morning then returning it to their purse the same night before op notices it's gone. I'd def be cancelleing the card & taking more precaution on leaving purse unattended at home.I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Which brings up the problem of what exactly constitutes gross negligence."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0
