I have a Toyota Avensis about 10 years old.
On my way home tonight an amber warning light came on on the dashboard in the shape of a little car.
Please can someone tell me what this might mean and if I can travel about 10 miles tomorrow morning to my garage without being at risk of causing damage?
Thanks.:o

What does the owner's manual say?
Usually there is a diagram with an explanation of each of the lights somewhere at the beginning of the book.:hello:0 -
Sorry but bought the car 2nd hand and hence no manual!:oTiddlywinks wrote: »What does the owner's manual say?

An orange warning light in the shape of a car makes me wonder if you had not closed a door properly. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

I think orange lights on dash are a warning where a red light means its serious and you should stop.I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.0

Is it one of these?

Appreciate yours is 10 years old but they may still use the same warning lights.
Hope this helps

In my old corolla that light was for the stability control, I've only ever see it flashing & beeping when travelling sideways around corners

If it staying on solidly there may be a fault with a sensor somewhere, I'd imagine it would be flashing and/or beeping if it was something critical so I'm fairly sure it should be safe to drive. Just be aware that stability control may not be working, which generally isn't an issue in day to day driving.0 -
yes, it's the second one down. Looks like the profile of an F1 carIs it one of these?

Some also look like a plan view of a car with the doors open.
