EA said 'no chain' but there is one

Of course the EA has 'gained', a property is more attractive if it is not in a chain. I don't think they should be able to just wash their hands of it and claim that they didn't know. It wasen't even that they said 'oh we've just found out...'
If we'd have known it was in chain, we might have been more inclined to go with a no-move, no fee solicitor' as the chances of it falling through will obviously be more if it's in a chain.0 -
OP its a stressful time and you probably need to take 24 hours to answer but i think you have 2 choices
1 tell vendor you are not waiting they said no chain so their move is their problem. Be prepared to walk away if you don't get.the answer you want
2 bite your tongue its the house you want and you are not buying the vendors with it!
You could try for a price reduction for being messed around.0 -

We're not sure what we're going to do. Pretty gutted tbh.0 -
No advice but we are in the same position. Were told no chain, then that they are moving out mid June, then that they had bought a new build that had been delayed, then they were looking for somewhere to rent at the weekend. Today they've got chicken pox so didn't get to look for anywhere to rent OR BUY over the weekend! Erm...0

The `reality` is , the EA managed to hook a buyer , who is now commited at least financially , that they may not otherwise have got , regardless of who `lied` or not , the EA is still a couple of steps nearer completion than they otherwise might beNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -
