Nothing will be done until the very last second at which point a temporary deal will be struck that satisfies nobody and which just postpones the problem for a few months more.

It may throw up some buying opportunities.
I am not cavalier about the whole thing, but having worked for the US govt thru one of these, and my father having been a civil servant there, we have seen these come and go. And in the end it is sorted out, and things go on.
There is only so much foot dragging the constituents of those who wont pass a higher ceiling will stand for. Voters don't like this sort of thing.0 -

There is *always* something that's cheap so I have little time for waiting for expensive things to get a little less expensive.
Of course, I still do it.
