RUST on the bottom of bathroom radiator

How can I get the rust of the bottom edge of my bathroom radiator?
The first time it happened it looked so ugly I paid for a new one to be fitted and now it's happened again. I have been told it's where it's not in use in the summer months and a condensation build up in winter OR other way round! Do I need a new one fitted? I am going to have to buy a job lot and replace them every 2 years as this is roughly how long they last before the rust appears on the bottoms
Any ideas please?

If you do decide to do this DON'T get one from Victoria Plumb. One of the most useless companies I have ever dealt with!
My bathroom radiator went rusty due to severe damp in the bathroom. The cause needs to be dealt with rather than replacing radiators all the time.3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
Rub it down, apply rust remover, prime and repaint. if it's only surface corrosion, you do not need a new rad!
Sort out the bathroom ventilation to stop it recurring. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
My experience of this is that it is either urine overspray and/or condensation. I think all men should sit down to pee.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

if it's next to the WC the above post is exactly what it's likely to be (or is that pee ?)I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Thanks for replies. No, the WC is not next to the radiator so that's that ruled out lol
) over the side of the room.
I have 2 windows in my bathroom that are always open so there is ample ventilation. Going to do MACMAN's advice and start with that.
Cheers again Urine overspray...... whatever next)

We get the same problem with chrome towel rails no matter which house we have lived in. Rust forms underneath the horizontal bars and being chrome cannot be removed. We've found this to be due, as the OP suspected, to wet towels being placed on the towel rail during the summer when the heat is off. Tried different manufacturers but still get the same problem.0

It's quite difficult - as a man - to sit down and pee as you have to tuck your tackle down before the seat edge and release the waterworks downwards, or maybe that's....oh never mind
My radiator in the bathroom is also rusty but it's not from pee... looks very unsightly.0 -
we had rust on the radiator in our lounge and we used a mix of bicarb and water to make a paste - leave to dry then wipe off and repeat.0
