When you say 'stand up' do you mean you put them in vertically or something else? Sorry, if I'm being 'dim' here.:o
I really like them. I have a Niece who doesn't like chocolate (?!) but loves mints and it's quite hard to find her a Selection box equivalent with something she'd like. I only buy for 4 children though now, so the bags would work out quite expensive for me.
yes vertically :rotfl:0 -
for boiled or jelly sweets, ikea do kilner style jars for about £1. With a nice ribbon and tag they can look lovely, and cost a fraction of what shop bought equivalents would set you back.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

Just had to hunt for this thread. I am going to make the selection packs and ordering some bags from Ebay.
Apart from the cost savings, it would save on packaging, as the shop bought ones are mainly just this!Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.090 -
Last year I bought a selection of multipacks and split them. Using thick wrapping paper folded in half I cut out a stocking shape with pinking shears. Using a sewing machine I sewed around the edge leaving the top open. I placed a bar at the bottom then sewed a line across securing it and repeated all the way up. Everyone loved them as each time it was a surprise which chocolate they got. Sounds complicated but was really easy and effective x0
