Question about Sky T's & C's

I've tried to find the answer to this on my Sky.com account and can't, so I'm asking here.

My query is about Sky tv only, no phone/broadband.
I first got Sky a year ago through the MSE 50% offer on a one year contract. The offer ended on 15 September so I'm now paying full price for my package.
Does Sky roll contracts over, ie am I now stuck in another one year contract again or is there simply a 30 day cancellation period if I need to cancel?

They dont roll onto new 12 month contract automatically

As per dandan. You're on a month to month basis now. Do ring asap to cancel. You may well be offered the same discount, or better, within the same phonecall. If not and you cancel, they'll probably call you back to offer you a deal to stay before you get switched off. Though not guaranteed.

Good to hear I'm no longer locked in, thanks so much both.
I'm not sure I'm ready to cancel just at the moment, will probably hang on until after Christmas although it would be nice if I can get a lower payment.

It's still worth a try. If you don't get a call back during the cancellation period and you still don't want to lose any Sky, you can call them the day before it's due to be switched off and tell them to keep it on.
You could even call them and discuss that you are thinking of switching it off and do they have any incentives to stay....
