Boots sell one at £59.99 but they are sold out on the web at the moment.Index have a BEKO 14" AT £ 79.99 free delivery ( and might be having a big closing down sale. Argos the same price, in store. I would also try places like Tesco as I sure I saw one in store for a really good price last week.

Thank you, do you have a link or code I can use to view it?

My lil sister wants a TV dvd combi! and hasn't got too much money so would like as inexpensive and as good one as she can get! What do you think about buying off ebay? has anyone had any good/bad experiences? or a seller they would recommend?

....or perhaps anywhere else you can get them that little bit cheaper?

    Thank you

Not a chance! I'd put the chances of getting a satisfactory outcome up there with the likes of Dixons or Curry's!!

In my experience, you have to go and test the tangible robustness of an electrical item in a store. See if you can break the knobs off, etc (you can do this in Curry's or Dixons!) Then go and buy it at reputable store - such as John Lewis where you'll get a free extended warranty, too, and price-matching against other stores! Any problems, and you won't be quibbling over delay and replacement avoidance tactics - or having to pay return shipping!!

'Course - if it's an offer (price!) you can't refuse - then what I say above can go out the window!

I dont think id buy a telly off ebay unless the seller lived near me. The postage costs and the risk of it being damaged in the post would make it an unattractive idea. If I wanted a new telly, id prefer to buy it from a shop where i can take it back if it goes wrong.

I also wouldnt buy a dvd/telly combo. What if the dvd went wrong? You`d have to send the whole unit back. Also, the ones ive seen for 60->80quid have been really nasty looking things. I think id prefer to buy a 2nd hand sony 14" trinitron portable and a cheapie new dvd player from amazon or somewhere. Same sort of price but you`d have a much better picture.

    INDEX LINK £ 79.99 .
Also was in Tesco yesterday and they had one at £79. 89 or £ 78.98 ( cant remember exactly which one ) but I looked on the web but it was not there. You could try phoning your local branch as you could get tesco reward points too. They also had a tv/ video combi at the same price so make sure the staff dont get mixed up .Or if you or anyone in your family, nice mum etc has money off vouchers you could use them.
