If we had biometric id's we wouldnt have this problem.
I suggest we implement ID cards followed by biometric passports and retina scans.
This is what we should be heading for. It would stop spongers, small time criminals and make terrorist work harder whilst giving the spooks a heads up on their behaviour.
We dont need the likes of the civil liberties groups moaning about sensitive data if you dont have anything to hide.

Absolute rubbish! Read the OP again, there is absolutely nothing that Biometric IDs, retina scans, finger prints, grandmother's maiden name or anything would have prevented a simple c**k-up like this happening; now, or in the future.0
