Hope you are enjoying this glorious weekend. I have a lovely picture of you with glass of wine in hand enjoying the views. I loved the story of the honey bees. We have just discovered we have a wasp nest in the loft just above the bathroom. They keep appearing through the light fittings in to the bathroom. A little job to tackle next week I think!Starting Mortgage 01.08.08 £171,209.24. Thankyou Chumpy!
Weve has a fantastic few days off, back to work tommorow
We have sat out at night with a drink, and hubbys nightvision binoculars, a real eye opener!:) whilst keeping an eye on our bonfire burning all the undergrowth we have managed to clear.
We saw bats, insects, and a strange bird kept flying low over us, making a really weird sound like a spaceship?? we are looking online to tty and find what this bird is, its the weirdest sound weve ever heard..
Good luck with getting rid of your wasps Chumpy, we found a huge wasp nest in our work shop when we moved in, lucky for us it was emptycurrent official end date of mortgage= 2037-aiming for 1st March 2029. mortgage balance start of challenge- 25/11/2016 £245,695 mortgage balance 05/06/25 - £101,353.67 2025 challenge- get mortgage balance to £95,000 by new years eve 2025, and a years outgoings in premium bonds after water system paid for

Had my hair cut and coloured this morning, so no longer look like a cavewoman:rotfl:
Im currently half way through household chores, then its outside in the sunshine, getting stuck into some weeding and trying to light the damp bonfire consisting of last weeks weeding/land clearing efforts.. cant wait till we have animals to eat all the grass!!
We are sticking to our meal plan, and im hoping totry and make another overpayment next week, using cash saved from spending wisely on groceries, all other excess cash is going to our roof fund.:)

Thanks Chumpy ! you are so right, when im feeling negative/fedup/whatever other sad mood, making a small overpayment, and organising and being in control of our finances always makes me feel better, i guess its probably because whatever other crap life throws at us, that we cant always control, doing a small positive thing that we can is a comfort
Anyway, feeling a lot more positive today, even though its raining, and i have a couple of hours of house cleaning ahead of me.
This morning, on and around our bird feeders, i have watched the following- mum and dad, now joined by babies (as big as the parents now) woodpeckers, coal tits, blue tits, along with their many fledglings, blackbirds and youngsters, chaffinch families x 3, bullfinchl pair, 2 grey squirrells, and a first for us, the biggest baby jay, really lovely, no parents to be seen though?
We are so lucky to witness nature like this, living here is everything i dreamed it woud be , and more:)
On the moneysaving front, im being super organised, july budget already done, im trying the cash budgetting system for rest of this month for food/petrol/ spends, im determined to stick to our budget for the next few months, and get the workshop roof completed, the outside lights fitted, and start saving for 2018 .projects..
im just waiting on our paydays now to shuffle the cash around to cover bills, and savings .
Heres to a moneysaving, happy sunshiney week ahead :beer:current official end date of mortgage= 2037-aiming for 1st March 2029. mortgage balance start of challenge- 25/11/2016 £245,695 mortgage balance 05/06/25 - £101,353.67 2025 challenge- get mortgage balance to £95,000 by new years eve 2025, and a years outgoings in premium bonds after water system paid for

Im nervously awaiting the outcome of my little cars MOT tommorow, im hoping it wont comein over £200 budget ive allowed for it, i know a couple of bits want doing..
Ive just been watching the bird feeders, and hubby had but some upturned shooting clays left by the previous owner , he filled them with water, and the blue tits love them for little individual baths! so cute
On the money saving news, ive found out today a payrise is coming my way this month, backdated to 1st May, £1500 per annum increase, so that will come in handy for savings/overpayments :j
Every day i count my blessings to have come so far, and to be happy here in our lovely countryside home, with the man i love. with so much sadness and horrific things going on in our country at the moment, we should all take a minute to count our blessings, tell our loved ones we love them, give them a hug, we are the fortunate ones..current official end date of mortgage= 2037-aiming for 1st March 2029. mortgage balance start of challenge- 25/11/2016 £245,695 mortgage balance 05/06/25 - £101,353.67 2025 challenge- get mortgage balance to £95,000 by new years eve 2025, and a years outgoings in premium bonds after water system paid for
