Tesco's and the (non-)HD-Ready TV

I am not, I'm afraid, an anorak for AV stuff.

I did however select this model specifically cos it had a wacking great "HD-Ready" sign on it...so thought I was future proofing myself.

Was the sign on the TV? On the box (have you still got the box)? Or just on the shelf?

If the last, you'll have to hope that others made the same mistake due to the misleading sign at the same time as you did; if you're the first to mention it, I suspect you'll have a bit of a struggle after all this time. But be prepared to be persistent and it may pay off.

not really too small to have the necessary resoloution when you think that 17" lcd monitors have resoloutions of 1280x1024 or 1440x900 in widescreen....

MOP "BEKO?"
TSB "Yes, the very best in picture enhancing technology coupled with high definiation ready facilities. You are buying a product which will prepare you for the dynamic picture and sound facility"
MOP "BEKO eh, kind of rolls off the tongue"
TSB "Oh yes. Quality assurance and millions spent in research & development"
MOP "I'll have one of your superlative high end future proof HD products manufactured by BEKO. I cant wait to write a review"

MOP thinks "I was suppose to buy the carrots and leave the television until after research, not the other way round!" - DOH!
