I'm selling my apple lap top to friend privately..

He is abroad,would he be able to pay me via paypal/credit card?

He has money available in his credit card,separately has pay pal,wondering of he could send me the money for lap top + postage?

If this is possible would the money be available instantly on my end upon transaction being approved on friends end?

So in order for him to carry this out he would log into his pay pal and click on the send money tab entering my paypal email address etc?

i'm no expert but i know there can be problems with PayPal being willing to accept a buyers word for things, such as not receiving the item they have paid for........i hope this person really is a friend.:A

What your suggesting regarding paypal being willing to accept buyers word for things be similar to a buyer purchasing something through ebay?

With buyers being able to purchase items on ebay,paying paypal?

You can send it via FedEx or another sort of courier with signature on delivery required.

Make sure it's insured for the right amount. I wouldn't fancy my chances on it arriving in one piece !

glad he is a true friend. yes, i am thinking of via ebay, as that is my only experience. but i am lead to believe that PayPal can adopt that approach for non-ebay sales too.
