respond to feedback

i had a NPB and left feedback just stating this person did not pay, they have responded saying their dad died and they weren't on eBay for days ,which would be understandable had it not been for the numerous transactions during their "grieving " time !

Is there a way i can respond to the comments ?

It is shame you left feedback when an NPB strike would have been much more effective. Your positive means that they have just got round more sellers settings and can go on to annoy other sellers as much as they annoyed you.

I'm afraid that other sellers on here might not thank you for rewarding a non payer with a positive feedback.

I never leave feedback for NPBs. I report it at day 2, wait the 4 days until I get my FVFs back (or more rarely, they pay) and then block them.

This way they get a strike on their account and once they have acquired 2, have neatly blocked themselves from those sellers who have their settings to refuse bids from people with 2 strikes in a year.

Otherwise you've upped their feedback by 1 and left them free to mess around with other auctions.

To answer your question yes, you can respond to feedback but in your case I think I would leave it. If you choose to do so, there's a link towards the bottom of your feedback profile.

Why did you leave POSITIVE feedback to a NPB? What was POSITIVE about it?

By doing that, you cancelled out their strike which makes it easier for them to NPB on other people's items.

I have seen people with 20 or 30 feedback score and 90% of these are along the lines of they didn't pay. It is very frustrating when people do this as you see their score of being 30 and assume they are new ebayers who have been buying and so will probably pay.

What if they snipe a last minute bid where you don't have a chance to read their feedback

I'm sure if you don't sell much you have time to check out all bids, unfortunately some of us don't have time. I list, I sell if I had to check out every single bid I would have to sell less.

Also, as has been said how do I check on a snipe that comes in 5 seconds from close?

If you do that, you're an idiot. You wipe out the NPB and help no one.

No it cancels it out as you had a positive experience.
Plus if buyer wants to they can report you for a false positive get it removed and leave you with a compliance strike on your account.
