Sorry to be cheeky but if anyone has won a trip and can't go, please could they let me know if they would be so kind to pass it on, I'm a student and I really want a short holiday with my gf this summer and can't afford much.
Would be great :) Thanks guys.

    It's now finished :(
I wish i'd known about this comp before cus i've been on this break last November and it was fantastic, however we took all our own food and drink, drinks we VERY expensive on board. They allow you to consume your own food and drink only inside your cabin. We got the metro from Sunderland too so it was cheap as chips :)

    Hi, :)

Could you please tell me more about your previous cruise? I won this two days ago (see my previous post above - must have won one of the very last prizes before the comp closed :o), and unfortunately hubby and I will not be able to go in September or October. We would only be able to travel in November or December but tbh we weren't very keen on this because we thought the weather would be terrible that time of the year. I see you went in November, how was it like? Was the sea calm or not (really terrified at the prospect of getting seasick :o)? Would you recommend taking this cruise in November? You say it was fantastic, it's just that I would be very grateful if you could tell me more.

    Thank you.

Hey, sorry for not getting back to you before, I didn't see you reply.
We found it very good but I went with my housemates and friends from University, it seems in November time there are a lot less passengers on the boat so the atmosphere in the bars etc didn't seem very animated, however obviously being in a group we enjoyed it. I'm sorry i cant' tell you about the on board catering asas we didn't eat in the restaurants as the prices were expensive for a student budget. The weather wasn't really bad, when we were in bed we could feel the boat rocking but it wasn't horrific, i suppose it's just luck as to when you go an what the weather is like. A couple of us were sick but tbh I think the alcohol had something to do with it :rotfl:
The cabin was very small but just what we needed for our short stay there, i know there are additional upgrades you can get.
The staff seemed friendly and helpful, the duty free shop had some good deals in it, we arrived in Amsterdam on time and back in Newcastle 40 mins late. When we got to Amsterdam you get to go on bus into the city with some interesting commentary and tips to help you enjoy your day.
The bars/entertainment on board seemed good but would be better with more people = more atmosphere. However, the prices for drinks were very expensive (7-15 euros for a spirit + mixer/cocktails), We just drank our own drinks in our cabin, then went to the bars for a couple of hours and had one cocktail. The actual trip is very good value for money, its just the add ons that are expensive.

Hope that helps, sorry the reply was a bit jumbled!
