The weather is starting to turn cooler. But not for me, my flight to Turkey leaves in a few hours!
Bags are packed, money is changed at a fat better rate than last year (3.1TL V 2.71), which makes it just under £1 a pint in the right places.
Have checked in online and have the two seats by the wing exit, have paid for a meal as a treat and will be in Gatwick Weatherspoons having a cheeky shandy or two from 1pm onwards.
Have downloaded last nights Breaking Bad and Dexter to watch on the flight.
Just off for a big fry up at Carrots cafe on Brighton seafront.
This is how I start my holidays every year- how do you start or plan to start yours?
My view tomorrow morning as I have my breakfast-

Usually by rushing around in the dark at 3-30am worrying if the car is going to break down on the way to the airport for a 6am flight. Why is it that the holiday I fancy allways has the grottiest flight times?0

I won't book a holiday if the flight times aren't right. I hate all that middle of the night stuff before leaving home.0 -

I know that feeling well, which is why for our next holiday, which we will have to leave on a 7am flight, we will be checking into the Premier Inn at Gatwick the night before for £109 including 2 weeks parking and using Easyjet's twilight check in the evening beforeAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

Don't panic- I am going to a really nice town called Gulluk, it's off the beaten track and there are no tourist resorts there or hassle from the locals. Gulluk is a quiet fishing village that is delightful and this will be my third holiday there.
Look for yourself at-

By getting in from work.
All holiday arrangements I leave in the far more capable hands of my husband & offspring, who will come & fetch me (from the shower, on one memorable occasion) when they want the driver.
Have a lovely time in Turkey!0 -
