This is a China wholesale web that in my new collection. Here has cheap China tablets from $50 to $240. You can take a look on these.0 -
Unusually for a Chinese website a phone number and an address have been provided although the address looks like a name plate used by many other companies to give the illusion of substance. It's not the returns address, which is obviously a secret because it's not shown. The Domain Registration details have been hidden behind a proxy.
The Terms of Use tab doesn't work.
There is no mention anywhere on the site that I can find of extra VAT and import duties for UK customers.
It doesn't look trustworthy to me.0 -

Oh, I don't care much for these so I've never check for it. Anyways I had 2 experiences with the site and felt the products are good.
PS: I received an E-mail that they've just change the domain name yesterday, I don't know whether those what you said above are due to it. BTW they've told me that that is just a new website and they are new for it.0 -

Yeah, I agree with your point of view to a great extent. I would try for a new site is only because of the price. From what I experienced it's not a spam site, but of course I can't guarantee all of the stuff they sold are good and cheap enough.0 -
Thanks SGoose for you advice.
As I intend the tablet for someone with poor eyesight, could you please clarify.
I think this means the largest screen possible for the price, but which is better:
10.1 inch screen 1280 x 800
or
9.7 inch screen Retina Display 2048 x 1536
As you recommended Ainol tablets, I am looking at the Ainol website, in particular at the Novo 9 and Novo 10 range:
http://www.ainol-novo.com/buy-products.html
Those at £104 to £122 are within my budget.
Thanks for your advice.0 -

Hi I think either would be reasonable. Screens are measured diagonally so a lot of tablets that sound big are not so as they are quite wide but not very tall. 1280 x 800 is about a 4:2.5 ratio suggesting a slightly wider screen. 2048 x 1536 is a 4:3 ratio so wide and tall - this suggests that even though only 9.7 it will actually have a bigger area than the 10.1 screen..
Can only really tell by the tablet dimensions.
I would not advise buying from http://www.ainol-novo.com. I am not convinced its really anything directly to do with Ainol other than using the name, its probably just another Chinese reseller. As it will be shipped directly from China there is a strong chance it could be picked up by customs with substantial taxes and charges added on you must pay before it will be delivered. I guess your looking at something like the Ainol Firewire and they do look attractive prices, ones on sale over here are of course dearer as the importer has had to pay the duty on it and add it on the price. But I suppose as your paying with Paypal you have some protection, depends on how much you like to gamble?0
