Looking for a cheap tablet

I'm wanting to get my 4 kids a tablet each for christmas but have quite a tight budget. I don't really want to spend any more than £50-£60 each. All they'll want to do is play games, candy crush, etc and maybe use the wifi to browse the internet or play games.
Any ideas where I can get the best tablet I can for this amount of money or if it's even enough to get this at all?

Thanks sillygoose, like the fact they come in different colours. I have also seen this http://cpc.farnell.com/goclever/r70kb/tablet-7-k-b-bundle-tab-r70-kb/dp/SB05246 tablet but am not tech savvy at all. Is anyone able to advise how these 2 compare. I like that you get a case and keyboard but not if it's not as good as the other one.0

I suggest you consider Cube U25GT. Cube is a better known manufacter for chinese tablet
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cube-U25GT-7-Inch-Android-4-1-8GB-A9-1GHZ-RK2928-Tablet-PC-MID-HDMI-WIFI-Black-/281133383880?pt=UK_iPad_Tablets_eReaders&hash=item4174db00c8
Also, I won't recommend the tablet you link as the spec & brand is not details enough.0 -
Ok thanks, I didn't really know as I don't know anything about the specs of tablets. Is the Cube U25GT a better spec than the one sillygoose recommended. I like the look of that one as it will stop fights if they're all different colours.I suggest you consider Cube U25GT. Cube is a better known manufacter for chinese tablet

CPC are a good seller, but a lot of the cheaper tablets they sell don't support the Google Play Store, the manufacturers have done deals to only use 3rd party ones for more money. VASTLY less choice of free apps on these. Beware.
Also its only single core, it would play games OK'ish but would be slow to render webpages
The one I suggest has dual processors and QUAD graphics chips so will do games that need a lot of 3d rendering really well. Its a really good price for a dual core tablet.0 -
Thanks, have ordered 4 different colours of the one you suggested. Glad I asked cos I didn't even realise some of them would not support Google Play Store - I really am clueless. The kids will be thrilled, thanks again.0

Guess you're sorted for want you wanted/needed ....
... but came across this 10.1" Tablet for £69.99
GoClever A104.2 10.1" Android 4.0 Capacitive Touch Screen Tablet
Originally £149.99 so saving £80
OK it's a "B" Grade but still comes with a 2 year warranty
Anyone here got one ?
Worth the money or what else would be the alternative for just £70 ?
http://www.7dayshop.com/b-grade-goclever-a104-2-10-1-android-4-0-capacitive-touch-screen-tablet
From the description it seems to be powerful enough and compatible for 3D games ...
... and it does support Google Play :j ....
... not that I'd be interested in gaming but I DO LIKE the 10.1" size aspect
I've used 7dayshop quite a few times and they've been 100% with everything I've purchased in the past
Definitely worth the punt or don't touch with a barge pole ?

It looks cheap but very low spec. A 10" screen with only 1024x600 resolution will look really poor, blocky - has only 1GHZ single core A8 CPU, will be pretty slow, especially web browsing. Battery is not big for 10" won't last well.
Always have to be careful with 2nd hand (which is what B-grade really means) as tablets will rarely be tested properly. someone may have been too rough with the usb connector (a common problem with tablets) and broken the connections to the board, sending it back with a different excuse. Unless the retailer plugs it in and tries to connect its not apparent, then if you find it faulty you have to prove it was not you did it. Some tablets can have overheating faults that may not show up until tested for a longer period, or inactive pixels in the screen or poor touch sensitivity in specific zones.
For £70 2nd hand it priced near the mark but a bit on the high side, considering the spec is so low. I wouldn't buy it.
(don't be fooled by the term 'many core' in the description, its single core, the A8 just has several of the other chips built in it which is what it means)0 -

Just £10 more but brand new, nearly as big screen (9.7") newer Android version, dual core cpu, faster cpu clock speed, bigger battery, better screen.0 -
