    Afternoon!

DH had a bad night and is now asleep so I've got some down time.

In addition to his symptoms, the charming young ladies in the student house across the road decided to have a screaming argument and fight at 2.30 am, which the young gentlemen in the student house three doors down from them decided to join in with. Half an hour later I could still hear them at it. "Holly" - whoever she is - went running off so they stood in the road and screamed after her....

It's just the start of Freshers week, so it looks like we're in for a noisy few weeks till they run out of money and the novelty of being away from home wears off. There's an "event" tonight until 2 am (giant p*ss-up), so maybe I'd better join DH and have a sleep now, as it'll be noisy again tomorrow morning when they all come rolling home drunk as skunks :(.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.

Bargainbird believe me that would not be a pretty sight:eek:

So we have harvested a big box of onions and potatoes and a pile of carrots and another 3 golden courgettes. I've used some of the carrots and potatoes and courgettes for lunch along with chicken stuffing and gravy, and I've made dh a ginger cake, his favourite.

United playing city this afternoon so will get no sense out of hubby until that finishes.
Islandmaid TTFTM I love Pinterest whatever you can dream up is on there, I can spend hours looking at stuff:D
I'm currently watching you tube videos of people doing their own canvases as I can't find one I like for the living room.

Hi,hope everyone is having a good Sunday afternoon. Its lovely here now, done a spot of gardening with Lylapups help(!) so not much done but grass front & back done by DH looking much better.
Went to watch DGD having her toddler 'swim' session,it was very good and the tots seem to enjoy it,mainly getting them used to their faces in the water .The worst bit was getting her dressed again :)
    Donny-bon voyage from me too.
Jools have a fab holiday-hope DS is suitably contrite.
Slow cooked beef & trimmings shortly, and I've made a cake for afters.

If you have a local college that teaches hairdressing and beauty you can usually get cuts, colourings etc much , much more cheaply
    and treatments are supervised closely.

Enjoy the company aspect of work but don't try to lift things or get sucked in to doing too much.

DH enjoying the fact that I am trying new recipes etc and I can't cook stuff fast enough. Made a casserole of pork cheeks, tomatoes, onions, peppers and mushrooms for lunch with roast potatoes, small yorkies and carrots with green beans. Have left over fish pie from Jamie O's book for tonight and everyone loved it.

Found YS mackerel in local supermarket so made pate for DH and have a rapid loaf in the breadmaker.

Trying to make larger portions of food so I have leftovers for when we get back from the hospital each day and building up DH as much as I can.

Went on a family day out yesterday and did a walk around the Captain Cook monument. The four mile walk took us nearly three hours as it was very uneven terrain and I fell over at one point and had to be hauled to my feet. :o The views were spectacular
    and worth the effort

    Hugs to all

Quite a few men admitted to liking the Tiffany one, not because of the song but because they all fancied her when they were 15, lol

Should have asked for Nine Inch Nails and started a mosh pit :rotfl:

Jools have a lovely holiday x

Julie do you have an allotment or is this grown in your garden?

Had a lovely day , needed to keep myself busy until I get used to dd1 being at uni . I've taken advantage of the lovely warm breeze and done 5 loads of washing :T

Done a fair bit of tidying in the garden , ready for the autumn , picked a bowl of raspberries and had them for lunch with some double cream :D , there was also a few tomatoes and a courgette

I've cleaned an outside cupboard out ( which houses the guinea pig hay , sawdust etc) that no-one dare put their hand in lol , full of nasty webs and the odd giant slug:eek: anyhoo it's all clean and devoid of carp :D

Pork is in the oven , Ive made a cauli cheese and I'm roasting some sweet potatoes , smells lovely

Dough is proving for rolls for tomorrow's lunches

Then later I'm going to put my feet up and watch tele

It's basically an online pin board where you can create boards for any interest or theme and keep it all together in one place.
Not sure how you use it on a normal PC, I use an app on the iPad :o
