Oh and thanks to the person (can't remember who it was) who recommended the range. Got my eye on a couple of baskets and they've also just started putting out their christmas bits. Got some really lovely gift bags for 89p.

Have the rules changed re apg acceptance? Yesterday at Asda's Killingbeck, Leeds - presented my apg (below £10) but SA said she would have to clear it with supervisor - which she came and did, but SA then asked me for my postcode? Which I provided - but obviously they had this when I printed apg. So not sure if this is a random check that sada do or whether she decided my apg was too big and way of checking? She then asked how I'd got such a large one (oer missus) ..... I replied that I had indeed been lucky and Sainsbury's were obviously cheaper but I didn't live near a Sainsbury's.:p Then we got to shops 2 and 3. Same rigmorale re SA getting SV to put through apgs under £10 (ok 9.50 ish but ...) at least I only had to give my postcode once. Just wondered ..................
She did ask again at the end but cos I don't live local or know her I wasn't sure whether she wanted to know for herself or not - so played it safe and kept stum.
Hope you all had a glitch day. :)

I think it was just an SA that wasn't sure what to do with APGs in general - sometimes, when you get one, they check with the supervisor. I think A's are asking for postcodes at the moment - it's on all shops not just those against which people have used APG voucher(s) - I suspect it's part of their market research to see where people are coming from to shop at each store. SS tills aren't giving the postcode prompt - so use an APG there, and they don't ask for the postcode - although my store always prefers the other tills to be used. But, when it's after 11pm and none of them are open...:rotfl:

My SA yesterday (or whenever it was I last went to A:o) had faffed around so much, trying to get the APG to scan (she had to enter it manually as it was >£10 and she kept not putting it in right), that when the postcode thing came up she had just pressed enter twice so it skipped over it completely. CS also skipped it out earlier in the week when exchanging prices on some goods for the goods + a £2 GC.

frequent, love you dearly but what tosh :D Golden rule, don't crap on your own doorstep if you want to live at home, and as he appears to have kept his nose clean on other forums where he has a greater vested interest in staying put, then nuff said. I'm with Mildred - itching for a strike, had been saying as much for the last couple of weeks. Didn't report him - didn't need to as inevitable was going to happen anyway, but glad some did. If a ban or several doesn't stop him a measly ppr isn't going to keep him down so for those that love him, no doubt he'll be back .....

  • Think I have found a new trigger - got Alberto s/poo & cond as per COT's list in an A v S shop with CDM. No spray, radox or Pantene poo so shoved a Pantene Colour damage Rescue Treatment Masque in basket.

    APG - £10.57!!!

Purple plastic large tub with gold lid 200ml b/c ending 5214 - cost £4.78. There was also another similar type tub in a different colour.

There was a really bad one about a couple of weeks ago with a elderly gentleman who was walking home from the pub back to his rest home. He was hit by a car because the sun was shining in the drivers eyes as he exited the round about. He was given mouth to mouth and recovered until Sunday when he died. My Uncle was in the car behind and has to go to the inquest shortly. It just makes you realise how fragile we really are when you see stuff like this. :(

Indeed! I slowed down as it was a junction where it happened. Maybe someone tried to change lane to late.. But I drove on thinking that could have been me. Slow down. Focus! Driving isn't easy. You can think its easy and get complacent. Then make life changing mistakes.

I use to be awful in the car with my ex. (One of the reasons why he is my ex) as distractions harmed my driving. I'm fine driving listening to music or a radio. But people chatting to me! Isn't. I'm rubbish at it.

When I went on a road trip with two good mates of mine. I said to them. Don't ask me complicated questions which require me to think when I'm driving. Especially not when I'm approaching a round about or junction etc.. And they were brilliant. Chatted but didn't involve me to think too much if that makes sense.

Also told them that I'm driving and it my responsibility to look after you two. So my car my rules:o don't want back seat driving :p

No, they're doing it all over. They tell us it's to see where people are travelling from. They only want the first part of the postcode
