A little story for everyone.
I never talk about work on here, or what I do, but in it, I sometimes have to deal with very difficult people. Difficult in so many different and varying ways. Someone much wiser than myself once told me something that has always stuck with me, when I mentioned a certain person, and what they were doing, they turned to me, and explained why that person was behaving like they were. Something was going on with them that I had not even considered could cause the behaviour shown, but once it was explained, it all became clear, and my opinion/way of dealing with that person changed. I now try not to understand the behaviour, but understand why.

The very fine line between support and enabling can at times be almost indiscernable.

Did you see my post about 2 pages ago about not burning treated wood? So jealous of being left a log pile. I need to get Mr. Chainsaw out soon, Im thinking TM has a few nice trees in her garden that could vanish one night

They pulled it yesterday due to 'technical problems'

I only got 1 off, best use a photocopy (obviously just as a reserve incase my first one blows out of my hand into a puddle!)

Thanks Sue. No it's a research doctorate so I have been sponsored to undertake research that will (fingers crossed ) result in a PhD. It's not a fortune, most of it will go on the research itself but the sponsor pays the fees as well as giving me a research grant.
For me, it's the only way I wanted to do it. I've been to uni twice before and didn't want to go back again and do a full time course work led qualification.

I cope better with something to do. I've been at home this past couple of years through necessity. Im not sorry I have been but now that things have passed crisis point I need to do something a bit more challenging than housework That's just me
