    18p cost
100% profit, cost would be 36p
200% profit, cost would be 54p
300% profit, cost would be 72p
    ...I believe ;)

Well done:T:T. Regarding the surprise at :xmassign:, don't wait too long though as the expiry date of the APG vouchers is up in 28 days. However, as you're a regular, I'm sure you already know that very well!:) Or maybe you are using the GC 'trick'? Wombles onto GCs. [Edit: Ah, it's now been explained (above) - you put the money equivalent into the tin! (I'd never have more actual cash to put there though, not on top of my vouchers which act as much as cash in my As. All of my 'cash' is invested away, in the right places, and the rest to pay the bills etc.)]

You can enter APG receipts in, but don't have to claim the vouchers until later. So if you've not actually generated the vouchers, you can return up to 28 days after the shopping on the receipt was done, enter your details to claim the voucher and have 28 days from then to spend the voucher (or get it onto a GC:D). Assuming the receipts are dated today, you may have up to 23 November to spend the vouchers, if you wait four weeks to generate them for the very first time and cut it very fine also!

Play the system properly and you can make your wombles/APG's last up to just under 4 months. Don't be taken in by the 28+28 thing ;)

  • 18p cost and 72p sale price is 200% profit.
75% profit on 18p cost would be 32.5p.

I think we might have to agree to disagree here

18p cost is marked up by 300% i.e.54p to get to SP of 72p

    Profit is 54p/72p =75%

Assuming there are no costs to take into account...petrol, shoe leather ;)

I am afraid aau1 is correct - the term markup and the term profit mean two different things :D

    C'est vrai :D

I know some people put their womble apgs on go but I don't want to be limited to sada to spend

If you have APGs, BMs and PPs on the go, like I do, then I'm not limited to spending in A:D. The rest is in various accounts (that I keep switching) and current accounts with better rates (even after the tax) than ISAs at the mo. Though I have got some in an ISA after the limit on the other accounts has been used up (beyond which they pay you 0%).

so explain the difference between mark up, and profit please (unless you mean that we are not taking other cost into consideration.) as now I am confused :rotfl:
