This follows on from the comment about 'play the system right' and also my own post alluding to my switching of my bank accounts constantly (...and switching elec/gas etc.):

It is a game. Companies (and brands) want you to be loyal (to them). Be as disloyal as possible and constantly move around and around and you're ££££'s in!:D (Get every one of them to shower you with cash to 'come back' to them, and then leave them almost as soon as you came, taking someone else's cash offer to go back to them only to go back to the first company for another switch offer etc.;))

Profit margin is expressed as a % of the SELLING Price

    i.e. 54p/72p = 75% profitability

Mark Up is expressed in terms of the COST price

    i.e. 54p/18p = 300% mark up

Hmm. That's interesting. I just use any wombles I find and don't think of them as money I'd normally spend. Do you know what I mean? Eg. I might use them on a shop I wouldn't have done unless I had a voucher. But if you're spending the money anyway then I guess it makes sense to do that :)
