Sorry I actually meant any Pantene :o

    Getting me shampoos all mixed up now. I bought 1 x Pantene 2 in 1 smooth & sleek, 1 x V05 conditioner, 1 x V05 shampoo.

So my question rephrased is: if I'd used one of the 3 triggers mentioned (rather than my Pantene), would I have been better off financially?

Hi Squills, I'll try and explain it for you, though I'm sure others can do it better than I can.

The so-called "trigger" item is what makes the gl!tch work, because it isn't picked up on the APG. The consequence of this is that the APG doesn't detect you've got the items on a multibuy, so compares the full prices of the other two items against its competitors. If they're cheaper there, if nothing else you've bought cancels the APG out because it's dearer there, and if you've fulfilled the other terms of the APG, you'll get a nice APG return.

You need a minimum of at least 8 different items, but get at least 10 to be sure, things sometimes don't show up on the APG. Remember your trigger won't show on the APG so it won't count as one of your items.

An example: buy a trigger item (eg the NSpa Coconut Body Mist), and two of the Sanex Dermo Repair Baths.

You pay £5 for the 3. The Sanex is cheaper in S so the APG compares it as £7.98 v £3 for the two. This generates an APG of £5.32 (£5.02 + 10% of the competitor's price). Since you only paid £5 you're 32p up on the deal and got the stuff free.

Only do one deal per shop or it won't work. Use mysupermarket to identify other items cheaper or the same in S or whoever you are targeting -2 x 800g Hellmanns is currently a good one - and keeping your APG not much over £10 is usually recommended to keep under the radar.

It can be very worthwhile and is worth spending a bit of time getting your head round. Good luck and hope that helps. Lutz x
    Hope is not a strategy.
  • Afternoon all

It can't be said enough times.

If not sure about an apg shop then copy one recently done and results shown on here.
Might be helpful if everyone who posts shopping results says what trigger they bought. Spread the love and help those who prefer to copy a shop to build confidence.

Not participating myself as nothing need here for at least another year.
Could be slightly swayed by facial wipes but prefer L'oreal ones. Just when are they going to launch this new moc site?

    Nice day, sun is shinning.
Postie bought me 2 bills but bother overpaid by direct debit so roughly £80 winging its way back to my bank account:j

Mimi I was looking at the clinique online in mr shoes last night and both the 750 and 500 points being added if you spend over £50and buy 3 items which is quite good if like me you only use clinique.

:eek: nooo not if you bought it in the same shop 2gether..

Miffie it looks like you bought 3 triggers ( if your radox are the 500ml size?) You only needed to buy 1 trigger with your 2 VO5 items.
As the triggers don't show on the APG you will still get the same APG as you would have. You have just paid for 2 items that you didn't need to buy therefore reducing your overall return. Not a disaster if you will use these items anyway
    Don't worry, it's a complicated glitch :)
