:staradmin Hi Everyone and Welcome to the October's 2013 Bankruptcy Club :staradmin
This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during October 2013. So please feel free to join and post.
Pop your name on here, the date that you went/are going Bankrupt. Then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your BR journey. That way you can all stick together, compare notes and be there to support each other during the different stages of your Bankruptcies.
Remember this is your board so keep posting :hello:
Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help and you are all welcome. Any important questions that need answering please still post them on the main board, as you will receive more advice and help.
~ Please do not include too much information as the IS (Insolvency Service) are known to frequent this forum and they may identify individual cases, so username and date only ~
Best wishes

Court date for me and husband is the 14th October. Forms are 99% completed, SOA being juggled so it's reasonable and realistic (have always had a habit of underestimating how much we'd need to spend on essentials in the past - a habit we're learning to break!) and direct debits all now cancelled (home/pet/car insurance all paid up and other bills transferred to other types of payment plans/savings cards/payment books etc).
Nervous but will be glad when it's done. 2013 has been the sh**test of sh*t years and I'm looking forward to it's end. (Must be the number '13' in it

Hi Serotine and welcome to October's BR Club, I've added your name to post 1
Here's to much better years ahead and your new start too. Do let us know how the 14th goes and we'll be thinking of you.
My tongue in cheek checklist, what to take to court :-
- Your two copies of 6.27 and 6.28 and the Originals, do not sign them, you do this in front of the clerk. Your completed EX160 if applicable and any benefit letters/forms etc as proof.
- Money for bankruptcy fees.
- Spare change for coffee machine.
- Paper or magazine to read while waiting.
- Change for car park.
- Husband to chat/hold hand essential
Best wishes

Luckily the carpark is free so at least I don't have to worry about that bit....can't remember if there's a coffee machine or not so maybe I should bring a flask just in case
Oh and thanks for mentioning about not signing - think my husband already signed his but it's all been done in pencil for the moment (In case of errors so we can easily correct before a final draft! We're clever like that
)
I'll keep you updated - if I don't keel over from the stress of it first :eek:0 -
