Sounds like a lot of work for very little gain.
Would you not be better moving to a better bank?
Thanks, but I'm actually happy with them otherwise.
No complaints really, so if a letter solves it then its worth the hassle.
As stated above, I just want the £100 no interest overdraft as an occasional buffer.0 -
I just want the option of the £100 no interest overdraft, not to go into debt, but very occassionally my income and outgoings can overlap by 24 hours so it's just a protective buffer for those times...you wouldn't want me going to a Payday Loan company now would you ;-)
Natwest no longer off a £100 no interest overdraft. If you go into an arranged overdraft by more than £10, you will be charged £6 plus any interest accrued.0 -
I thought the general rule of banking was if a customer is not happy with the service then they take their business elsewhere.0

Switch to Halifax, get the £100 bonus and keep that in your account as a minimum balance0

I haven't changed over to the upgraded account as there isn't much point if I can't get a small overdraft facility, I may as well stay with my basic account.
Moving to the upgraded account would, at least, enable you to use any LINK cash machine. By staying with the basic account you are limited to using NatWest and RBS cash machines.0 -

No wonder Natwest struggle so much with customer service if staff have to rely on an internet forum to find out fairly basic pieces of information...0 -

you could also save £100 as a buffer without relying on credit.
my rent comes out on the 30th of the money and my wages are paid at the end of the month. So on the months with 31days i had a day between the rent going out an my getting paid.
i just make sure i leave enough in my account so im a month ahead, means i never need to use the overdraft0 -
