Tesco and Tesco Direct £10 difference on item

I omitted that I had in fact placed a further order for other items after receiving my first. Apologies for the confusion there. But the fact is, I am sure no one would be pleased waiting in expecting their delivery which was showing for XX:XX time and on said date. Then not receiving any contact with regard to it and order still showing as due for delivery and no sign of cancellation and it happened again last night.
The original order was rescheduled for delivery and now the items are no longer in stock. So I am being sent a Money card to use on Tesco Direct as Tesco have agreed that this level of service has been unacceptable.0 -
Tesco called me....apologising, stating the store cancelled the orderLet rip at them....As not a call, text or email to let me know order cancelled
Another contradictionOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -
If you want to be AR*** about it then feel free to do so to get your post count up. This was only AFTER I contacted them to find out exactly what happened !! OK0

A summary of salient points for all the MSE keyboard warriors who feel they need to make sarcastic comments or pick out from posts what they want.
* A second order was placed for items and delivery slot booked.
* Items never turned up, no text, phone call, email to explain why ( late at night, so sent Tesco an email )
* Received the response by email next day with regard to potential fraudulent activity.
* Replied to that email for further info.
* Received a phone call late afternoon apologising for all of above and given evouchers and a rebooked delivery slot for yesterday with items at original prices.
* Booked slot yesterday between 16:00-17:00
* Email at 16:52 from Tesco once again apologising stating items no longer in stock and for all the hassle I have had including two failed deliveries I would receive a money card to use on top of the evouchers I had already been sent.
I hope that this now makes sense for the nit pickers and people on MSE who try and put people down assuming the worst inc the one who already posted a personal comment yesterday and it was removed by MSE. Idiot !
Tesco email : Dear XXXXX,
Thank you for your reply and I hope you don’t mind me answering your email on behalf of my colleague XXXXXXXX.
I’m very sorry that your order didn’t arrive yesterday again. I understand the frustration this issue has caused you, especially when this has happened before and you’re now without the items. I share your disappointment and please be assured that this isn’t typical of our usual standards.
As the items were now out of stock, you should’ve been contacted and I apologise that we’ve let you down on both occasions. Although we try very hard to maintain product availability, unexpected customer demand or stock problems can occur at any time. As a result, we cannot always guarantee the availability of products and I'm very sorry you were disappointed on this occasion.
Furthermore, I’ve now requested that a £XX.XX Moneycard is sent out to you as a gesture of goodwill. This can be used either instore or on our Tesco Direct website. You should receive it within the next 5-7 working days.
Finally, thank you for bringing this matter to my attention and we highly value your custom. If you have any further queries, then please contact me at online@tesco.co.uk.
Kind regards,
XXXXX XXXXX
