DD currently away at uni and doesnt have tv, so no license
The other night she was chatting to her sister on facetime and something came on tv that DD wanted to watch, so rather than end their conversation, DD set her ipad up so her sister at uni could watch along with her, whilst they chatted
Does this breach licensing laws?

It probably does since she was watching live TV
Don't worry, the doctor vans won't find her0 -

That's the amazing thing about women - they can multitask! Now, I can either watch TV or listen to my wife. If forced to do both, my brain quickly gives up and switches off my wife.

I found this article
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/studentfinance/article-2403213/Why-tell-students-pay-TV-licence-Student-money-saving-tips.html
The extract from the licencing website seems to say that she was ok as long as she was watching on a device that is powered by its own internal batteries (and assuming that her out of term address is yours, and that you have a tv licence).0 -
I don't see how it is breaking the law. If she was in the room watching it with her sister, she wouldn't have had to buy a licence.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0
